Mr. Ghitea's work as a forensic consultant is based on extensive experience as an electrical engineer and designer in lighting, power, fire alarm and communication designs for institutional, medical and commercial projects.
Representative Forensics Projects
University High Rise Dormitories
Mr. Ghitea evaluated the electrical design drawings and field-inspected construction to determine code violations and standard of care issues, preparing a written report with graphics to detail field observations.
School District
Mr. Ghitea coordinated case scope with attorney, attended mediation, reviewed depositions, researched invoices for cost analysis and prepared cost estimate of punch list items.
Financial Institution Administrative Offices
The construction site was investigated by Mr. Ghitea for possible standard of care and code issues. Construction drawings also were reviewed by him to determine the integrity of the design. A report of findings was prepared.
Commercial Service Plant
Mr. Ghitea reviewed a list of damaged equipment and provided detailed cost estimates for replacement of systems due to arson.
Residential High Rise Apartments
Due diligence and claims-avoidance investigation was performed by Mr. Ghitea of high profile apartments including field investigating the construction, researching electrical code issues and preparing a report of findings.
Airport Terminal
Provided electrical expertise to evaluate high voltage infrastructure design deficiencies for major expansion project.
Commercial Design studio
Mr. Ghitea investigated allegations of poor workmanship by the electrical contractor and participated in case arbitration.

USC Thermal Storage Pumping Station, Los Angeles, CA
Mr. Ghitea prepared electrical system design for thermal storage pumping station including site survey, preparation of specifications, and power & lighting design.
Davis-Monthan A F B Hospital, Tucson, AZ
Mr. Ghitea studied the hospital's main electrical distribution system including the primary service and stand-by generator and submitted designs for generator replacement and modifications to the distribution system.
Naval Post-Graduate School, Monterey, CA
Mr. Ghitea performed a protective coordination study of the stand-by system, including the generator and UPS systems.
Whittier School District Modernization, Whittier, CA
Mr. Ghitea acted as project engineer for various school modernization projects including replacement of the electrical service, upgrade of electrical distribution system, providing new data and communication system infrastructure and upgrading the lighting systems to energy efficient fixtures and controls.
