February 4, 2010 12:00-1:15pm PST - CTG Energetics' Director of Advanced Energy Systems Jim Meacham is scheduled to speak at a ULI Brownbag Event entitled "Improving the Performance of Existing Buildings through Retrocommissioning."

Mr. Meacham's session will explain how the retrocommissioning process can reduce energy use, replacement costs and operational costs, while improving property value and occupant comfort. The session will also discuss the importance of goals of the owner, the efficiency of continuous monitoring, and different RCx techniques for different building types.

The presentation is recommended for anyone that hires energy engineers or that is engaged in the retrocomissioning process. The event will be held on the UC Berkeley campus at the David Brower Center, 2150 Allston Way, Berkeley, CA 94704. To register for this event, please click here.

February 6, 2010 - CTG Energetics Sustainable Communities Consultant Natalia Komar is scheduled to speak at the 9th Annual New Partners for Smart Growth Conference. The event is being held February 4-6, 2010 in Seattle, WA at the Washington State Convention and Trade Center.

Ms. Komar will participate in an Implementation Workshop currently entitled "The Dollars and Sense of Sustainable Zoning Codes." The session will explore the topic of communities adopting form-based codes as a means of achieving sustainable results. A portion of the discussion will focus on the importance of measuring results against intended goals.

February 23, 2010 12:00-1:15pm PST - CTG Energetics' Director of Building Science, Dr. Jon Roberts, is a participating as an expert faculty member for a four-day certificate course for "Green Infrastructure and Sustainable Communities: Opportunities in New Markets." The event is presented jointly by the American Council of Engineering Companies and Colorado State University, and will take place February 23-26, 2010 in New Orleans, LA.

The course is intended for engineers and designers involved in the built and natural environment, including professional engineers, urban and regional planners, government agency professionals, developers and contractors, landscape architects, and engineering business development directors.
