CTG helps Cushman & Wakefield achieve first ever volume certification under LEED EB O&M
In January 2010 the USGBC announced that Cushman & Wakefield achieved the first ever volume certification under the LEED EB O&M rating system.
CTG worked with Cushman & Wakefield to achieve LEED certification for 18 participating buildings in six states. Certifications under the Portfolio Program include: 4 LEED EB O&M Platinum, 7 LEED EB O&M Gold, 4 LEED EB O&M Silver, and 3 LEED EB O&M Certified.
The USGBC’s Pilot Portfolio Program enables volume certification of a portfolio of buildings using a streamlined approach while maintaining the rigor of LEED. Cushman & Wakefield joined the LEED EB Pilot Portfolio in February 2008. The program included 18 properties under C&W’s management involving multiple clients and over 8 million SF of commercial real estate.
CTG provided consulting services to Cushman & Wakefield in support of their pursuit of certification within the USGBC Portfolio Program. CTG’s team developed a series of High Performance Operations credit templates and tools, as well as a Building Implementation Training Program to assist Cushman & Wakefield with the execution of the nationwide certification effort. CTG also developed the pre-certification package for submittal to the USGBC.
Using the tools, training, and methodology provided by CTG, Cushman & Wakefield achieved the distinction of becoming the first company to successfully achieve certification under the LEED EB O&M Rating System in the USGBC Portfolio Program.
