CTG moderates USGBC Carbon Reduction Webinar

Dr. Chris Pyke, CTG’s Director of Climate Change Services, helped the US Green Building Council (USGBC) develop the third in their popular Carbon Reduction webinar series. Dr. Pyke provided an introduction and moderated a set of four cutting-edge case studies illustrating opportunities to reduce GHG emissions associated with new construction projects. The case studies included the Aldo Leopold Legacy Center (an education center in a rural setting), Solara (an affordable housing complex in Southern California), Atlantic Station (a large mixed-used, master planned community near Atlanta), and Toyota’s South Campus project near Los Angeles). CTG has helped monitor energy performance at Solara and guide the LEED-certification process for Toyota South Campus. CTG will play a similar role in the next webinar featuring case studies for existing buildings and real estate portfolios. CTG is a partner in the development of the series along with the Pew Center for Global Climate Change, the World Resources Institute, and the USGBC.
